Way back to Raden Saleh’s Berburu Singa, Sekar’s ohon is an alter ego. She succeed to manipulate smooth strokes by using real leaves to deliver actual textures, shapes, colors close to God’s artwork. The branches are tricky. They came on mixed mauve and amber, one kind of color that exist on particular trans season (pancaroba). It is still a difficult situation between scholars to place ohon on the right genre. Some might say ohon is expressionism, but she insists naturalism on the subject of imagination--author: Oo nduk
